The Consumer Code for New Homes has been audited by the Chartered Trading Standards Institute (CTSI) and have now been a fully CTSI Approved Consumer Code for six years.
As a Chartered Trading Standards Institute Approved Code, Consumer Code for New Homes is rigorously assessed against the Code approval standards on an annual basis. We are very glad to announce that we passed!
The audit focused on Membership advice including general Code advice and training provided by Consumer Code for New Homes; consumer complaints handling processes and sanctions against Members for non-compliance with the Code.
The audit report confirmed that Consumer Code for New Homes are not only maintaining the Code approval standards but also demonstrates that as an organisation they are constantly evolving to address changes in selling and buying behaviour, and to ensure consumers are protected.
Sarah Langley, Managing Director of Consumer Code for New Homes said ‘We appreciate external validation from the Chartered Trading Standards Institute that we are growing and evolving as a Code, and that we continue to support consumers when buying a new home.
