Consumer Codes Approval Board statement clarifies status of New Homes Sector Approved Codes.
Consumer Codes Approval Board have released a statement clarifying the current position of Chartered Trading Standards Approved Codes.
Consumer Codes Approval Board (CCAB) have released a statement clarifying the current position of Chartered Trading Standards (CTSI) Approved Codes. Consumer Code for New Homes welcomes this statement to clear up some of the confusion within the sector for both consumers and developers.
The CCAB statement says ‘It has come to our notice that public statements have been made suggesting that there is a statutory based scheme that all developers are required to join. This is not the case and developers remain at liberty to join any of the existing approved schemes. Any future false statements will be treated very seriously and investigated.’
